The Challenge

Where they started

Abraham Hanson Law — a criminal defense, personal injury, immigration, and estate-planning firm in McMinnville — was running on an aging WordPress site: slow, dated, and effectively invisible beyond searches for the firm's own name. In the 28 days before the new site went live, the old one earned just 2,023 Google impressions and 79 clicks, with almost no presence for the legal questions Oregonians actually search — and no citations at all in AI search results.

Our Approach

What we did

  • Rebuilt the site from the ground up on React and Next.js, replacing WordPress with a statically rendered, edge-served stack that loads fast on any device.
  • Published a library of in-depth legal guides answering the exact questions clients search — Oregon DUII diversion, expungement eligibility, tort-claim notices, comparative negligence, and more.
  • Launched a full Spanish-language mirror of the site — bilingual pages serving Yamhill County's Spanish-speaking community, a surface the old site didn't have at all.
  • Built county-level service-area pages (Yamhill, Marion, Lincoln, and beyond) to capture local intent across the firm's real coverage area.
  • Implemented Answer Engine Optimization end to end — clean structured data for attorneys, practice areas, and FAQs — so AI assistants can read, trust, and cite the firm as a source.

The Results

What changed

Twenty-four days after launch, the numbers tell the story. Google impressions grew from 2,023 to 5,447 — a 169% increase — and clicks rose 52% versus the prior month. Nearly three-quarters of those impressions come from pages that didn't exist on the old site: legal guides, Spanish-language pages, and county service-area pages. The firm now averages the #1 Google position for searches like “criminal defense lawyer” and “DUI lawyer,” and AI search engines — which had never cited the firm before — cited abrahamhansonlaw.com 39 times in the first month, peaking at 16 citations in a single day. Real visitors are responding too: 52.8% average scroll depth and dozens of tracked contact and booking actions in the site's first weeks.
